Dyslexia in Play
Dyslexia in play is a game designed to harness the positive aspects of being dyslexic through a game based on pattern recognition and its orientation in space. The objective of the game is to move your peices across the board by mirroring the pattern on the peice to the pattern on the board. The dyslexic person has an advantage because they orientate images, text and patterns in their minds eye. An objects spacial orientation can dictate its identification for example the letter p is also a q or b depending on how one see's it. Dyslexics have a tendency to "flip" images, patterns & even concepts. Dyslexia is a differnt way of seeing, learning and processing information. Dysleixcs come to the same conclusion as a non-dyslexics but thier brain takes a differnt path to get there, a more visual route. |
